I welcome your email and will do my best to write back to you. I do care about each person who writes me, and I want to be of help. Please understand that I get a lot of email, however, and many of the questions I receive are similar. If you will scan through these, you may find an immediate response available. I bear you my testimony that the LDS Church is true. I know it because the Spirit has born witness to me. How can you deny what the Spirit is telling me? I am disgusted with your web site, and am saddened that you feel the need to bash Mormons. Mormons don't attack Christians, so why are you attacking us? Why are you bitter against the Church and publish such hateful things? If you must leave the Church, why must you try to harm our faith? What made you leave the Mormon Church? Obviously there must have been some commandment that you couldn't keep. Did you have a bad experience that made you bitter against the Church?
You quote the Bible a lot, but the Bible has been mistranslated so many times through the centuries that the things you quote could be completely wrong. We believe the Bible to be true as far as it is translated correctly, but we believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. You obviously don't understand what Mormons believe about grace. We know that we cannot be saved apart from the Lord's grace through the atonement. But I must strive to keep the Lords commandments as well. Are you saying that all I need to do is say "I believe" and that good works are optional? Surely you see that this is not fair. Mercy cannot rob justice. Why would you discourage Latter-day Saints from striving towards perfection, telling us that it is impossible?
Latter-day Saints worship God, believe in Jesus Christ, and try to keep the Lord's commandments. Aren't such things good? Why don't you spend your time opposing that which is truly evil in our world? Why are you anti-Mormon? How can you deny that this is the Lord's church when you look at how it is flourishing? A false religion would have come to naught. It would not be the fastest growing church.
I do feel hopeless as a member of the LDS Church when it comes to my chances of dwelling with Heavenly Father. I can see how far I am from meeting the LDS requirements for obtaining the remission of all my sins. You have a deep joy that I want. I want to be forgiven for time and all eternity. How can I have what you have?
